Nicole Davis-Westbrook, LMHC, SUDP
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and have completed additional licensure requirements to specialize in addiction treatment. As a dually licensed clinician—a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)—I have the unique opportunity to work with clients as whole, complex individuals. Many people turn to addictive behaviors as a way to cope with deeper emotional struggles, only to find that the coping mechanisms eventually create their own challenges. Historically, mental health and substance use have been treated separately, but we now know these issues are deeply interconnected—and true healing requires addressing both together.
I have spent much of my career working within nonprofit and community-based mental health systems, supporting individuals across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to adults. Over the past decade, my work has focused on providing critical support in times of crisis, helping to strengthen safety nets for those experiencing acute mental health challenges. I find balance by continuing to serve in leadership roles within the nonprofit field while feeling energized by the opportunity to build deeper, long-term therapeutic relationships with clients in my private practice.
I moved to Seattle 20 years ago for graduate school—and it quickly became home. I love the climate, culture, and community of the Pacific Northwest and feel grateful to work in the beautiful Queen Anne neighborhood. I share my home with my partner, a thriving jungle of houseplants, a growing menagerie of furry critters.
